Our Story
Built on Community, Rooted in Trust
Queensview Co-op has served our neighbourhood for over five decades — a member-owned cooperative committed to quality, fairness, and belonging.
A History of Shared Purpose
Founded in 1971 by a group of neighbours who believed in the power of collective ownership, Queensview Co-op began as a small buying club in a church basement.
Over the decades we grew into a full-service cooperative serving thousands of member households across the region. Every decision we make is guided by our members, for our members.
Today we remain proudly independent — reinvesting surplus back into the community, supporting local producers, and upholding the co-operative principles that have guided us from the very beginning.

Our Values
Democratic Control
Every member has an equal voice. Our board is elected by members, and major decisions are put to a vote.
Community Benefit
Surplus is reinvested locally — in programs, partnerships, and people who make our neighbourhood thrive.
Local First
We prioritise regional producers and suppliers, keeping money circulating in the local economy.
Transparency
Open books, open meetings, open governance. Members always know how their co-op is run.
